It's come back. The ballet flat.

3 styles that we have been loving

There’s just something so classic about the ballet flat. Though a typical ballet flat has a round toe and heels not exceeding more than half an inch, designers have reimagined it throughout the years to suit modern tastes. Here are some of our favourite pieces that are making it into our daily outfit rotation.

The classic ballet flat

The one we all know too well and love. This design pays homage to its true shape and form. Usually made out of soft supple leather and topped off with a dainty bow. Paired with oversized low-waisted jeans, it makes it seem much more casual yet dressy enough for dinner with the girls.

The ballet flat with a block heel

A blocked heel adds a contemporary twist to the traditional ballet flat while remaining uncompromising in comfort. It may seem like a dressy kind of shoe, but its versatility can turn any outfit from day to night.

The mesh ballet flat

The summer flat that everyone has been going crazy over (hello, Alaïa ballerinas though we have been obsessed with The Row’s Sock Shoe for quite awhile). There’s just something so chic yet edgy about wearing this with pants or dresses.
