Artefino Festival 2023

A post weekend debrief

Upon entering the grounds of ArteFino at The Fifth Rockwell, you’re welcomed in through a corridor, a mere glimpse into the boundless creativity and imagination of what’s to come of the festival. I've been attending the much-anticipated event since 2017, but there was something different in the air this time around. A good different.

A proudly Filipino festival, ArteFino features a mix of older, prestigious brands and next-generation designers, each innovating and reimagining Filipino textiles and materials that stay true to tradition with a contemporary flair. Each stall you approach, whether it purveys fashion, home goods, food, or lifestyle products, is distinct in its own right while still identifying as Filipino.

It felt like home. It felt like a community. Being able to talk to the vendors who unselfishly and enthusiastically shared how their products were made and the meaning behind them; bumping into friends who all share my love of supporting local; and discovering new finds that I’ll cherish for years to come—let's just say the vibes were it.

ArteFino 2023 reignited my love for all things local, and I can’t wait to see what else homegrown Filipino talents have to offer in the future, but I’m not looking forward to putting another dent in my wallet.

*ArteFino Festival 2023 was held last August 24 to 27 2023 at Power Plant Mall at The Fifth and North Court. Learn more about it here.
